The refraction is a series of lens tests to determine
the proper prescription for glasses or contact
lenses. Your special needs and preferences must be taken
into consideration before the final correction is determined.
We strive for the utmost in accuracy and precision.
Contact lenses are available in prescriptions
for nearsightedness, farsightedness,
astigmatism and some bifocal corrections. We
provide complete professional care from the initial
examination to follow-up visits after you receive
your lenses.
As part of our eyeglass service, we offer
a complete selection of high quality
eyewear. Our professional staff is trained to
help you select frames that look good, fit properly
and are compatible with your lens prescription.
We strive to provide you with glasses that you
look your best in and enjoy wearing.
For some, life without contacts or glasses
would seem to be a miracle. But when
you begin to think about LASIK surgery, there
are many options to consider. And all providers
of laser vision correction are definitely not
alike. That's why understanding how to get the
best possible results, in the safest possible
way is so important. Your Vision Source doctor
will be able to advise you on your laser
vision correction options such as CustomLASIK,
the latest technology in vision correction procedures.
Your Vision Source doctors now accept most major Medical and

In our continued efforts to bring the most advanced technology available
to our patients, Vision Source-Atascocita is proud
to announce the inclusion of the Optomap Retinal Exam as an integral
part of your eye exam today.
Many eye problems can develop without warning and progress with no symptoms.
Early on, you might not even notice any change in your vision. However,
diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments,
as well as other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure can
be detected with a thorough exam of the retina. The retina is the part
of your eye that catches the image of what you are looking at, similar to the
film in a camera.
An Optomap Retinal Exam provides:
- A scan to confirm a healthy eye or, to detect the presence of disease.
- An overview or map of the retina, giving your doctor a more detailed
view than he can achieve by other means.
- The opportunity for you to view and discuss the Optomap images
of your eye with your doctor at the time of your exam.
- A permanent record for your medical file, enabling your Doctor
to make important comparisons if potential problems show themselves
at a future examination.
The Optomap Retinal Exam is fast, easy, and comfortable.
